Mapping Thirasia
Field School in Sustainable Development | Thirasia, Greece
As one of 10 students selected for a two-month research initiative with the University of Cincinnati, I analyzed Thirasia’s environmental, economic, and cultural dynamics. This project examined the effects of tourism, globalization, and demographic shifts, culminating in a proposed ecotourism development strategy.
Key Skills & Contributions:
Sustainability & Urban Research – Investigated sustainable cultural preservation and low-impact development strategies.
Economic & Community Development – Proposed initiatives to diversify local economic activity and enhance social capital.
Architectural & Spatial Analysis – Created visual documentation, including sketches of Cycladic housing typologies and a mapped analysis of Manolas village.
The imagery presented showcases my visual contributions, emphasizing architectural studies and spatial mapping that shaped our final recommendations.
